There are 3 Types Of Membership here at Scullville Fire Co., Station 3 |
Contributing Member |
– Must be at least 18 years of age and a Egg Harbor Township Resident inside of Scullville. A Contributing Member will be subject to a police background check. (A record does not necessarily mean rejection.) A Contributing Member will have very limited Fire Duties. |
Junior Firefighter |
– Must be 16-18 years of age and a Resident of Egg Harbor Township inside Scullville. Must obtain permission from parent or legal guardian, and working papers. Junior Firefighters will be on all fire calls EXCEPT - NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CALLS OR JAWS OF LIFE ASSIGNMENTS They will attend Drills, and Firefighting Classes. |
Active Firefighter |
– An Active Firefighter Will Be 18–45 years of age, and must be a Egg Harbor Township Resident inside Scullville, be in good health and character, must have a physical, and must have a Police background check (a record does not necessarily mean rejection), and must complete the Firefighter 1 Course Within two (2) years of acceptance into the Company as a firefighter. We provide you with the Personal Protective Equipment that you will need to attend schools and ride the apparatus with us.. As a Senior member, you will serve one year as a probationary member so that we can evaluate your skills and participation in the department. You will be required to make a certain percentage of our company meeting and functions as well as maintain an active status as a fire fighter candidate. |
